Originally from Michigan in the USA, I've lived in Prague since 2011. Mluvím částečně česky. I'm an extrovert, and I think this makes me a better teacher. Students like lessons with me because there is lots of opportunity for discussion of a wide variety of topics, as well as revising grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. I use instant error correction: when a student makes a grammar or vocab mistake–I instantly correct them. My students really appreciate this method. Some of my students I've been teaching since 2012. My interests include cooking, hiking, fishing and playing guitar. I also offer guitar lessons by the way! :-)

Through 18 years of ESL teaching experience I’ve learned that my clients have different ways of learning. I listen to you, and adapt the lessons to your unique learning style to help you improve faster. I use the Communicative Method, which emphasizes interaction and communication instead of just memorizing grammar rules or vocabulary. Some want a conversational lesson to improve fluency; others prefer a more structured approach using a student's book to track their progress. I adapt the lesson to your unique preferences. I teach both online or in person; individual or groups. Can meet at your place, a quiet café (I know the best place!), at your office. I teach all ages, all skill levels, as well as test preparation for Cambridge FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, etc. Students like lessons with me because I'm a positive person, come prepared for every lesson, and come on time.
